Custom T-shirts

A good custom T-shirt starts with the garment people will actually want to wear. An everyday staff tee, an oversized merchandise piece and a shirt for an active event can carry the same artwork while needing different fabrics and proportions. Exposure Apparel helps you put those choices into a clear brief before you commit to an international order.

Tell us what the shirts are for, where they need to go and roughly how many you need. We can then check the proposed style, colour, sizes and decoration together.

Choose the tee around its use

  • Everyday cotton: the Everyday Cotton Tee 230gsm is a starting point for general group clothing and repeat wear.
  • A heavier silhouette: compare the Heavyweight Cotton Tee 260gsm and Heavyweight Drop Shoulder Tee 300gsm when fabric weight and shape are part of the design.
  • Oversized or washed styling: the Oversized Drop Shoulder Tee, Boxy Heavyweight Tee and Vintage Wash Oversized Tee offer different visual directions. Ask for the exact measurements and current colour options.
  • Active use: the Performance Sports Tee 150gsm is a polyester option to discuss for movement-focused groups. Its fabric and decoration need their own check.

These are styles to discuss in your enquiry. Availability for your destination, selected colour and size run is confirmed for the quote.

Separate fit from fabric weight

GSM describes fabric mass per square metre. It does not tell you whether a tee is fitted, boxy or oversized, and a higher number is not a universal quality score. Compare the shoulder shape, chest width and body length as well as the weight. Our fabric weight guide explains the distinction.

For a group, choose the style before collecting sizes. Ask each wearer to compare a well-fitting garment with that style's chart instead of carrying their usual letter size across automatically. Use the fit and size guide to make that comparison.

Plan the artwork at its intended size

Send your original artwork where possible, along with the intended garment colour and positions. A small chest logo and a large back graphic are different decoration requests. Tell us whether every shirt uses the same artwork or whether names, roles or other details vary.

The suitable method depends on the chosen garment and artwork. Read the printing methods guide and artwork file guide, then include any questions with your enquiry. A digital proof is the point to check the proposed layout and wording before production approval.

Make your quote easy to specify

Include the destination country and delivery region, approximate quantity, preferred style or fit, colour, artwork link, print positions and any required arrival date. If sizes are still being collected, say so. A reliable total and a clear size list make it easier to confirm the order details.

For a larger group, use the group-order checklist. You can also explore clothing for staff, clubs or events.

Custom T-shirt questions

Can I mix sizes?

Include the proposed size breakdown in your request. We check it against the exact garment and colour rather than assuming every style has the same size range.

Can I start with a small order?

Ask about a small initial order or a sample when you enquire. The available option and its cost depend on the garment, decoration and destination.
